First post this year
Hi, LJ land. I figured I'd better pop in and make a post before the year is a week old. Every day I say I'm going to write something, but time just gets away with me. Not that I've been exceptionally busy or have any earth-shaking news. Life just keeps moving along.
Work was nice and slow over the holidays, and I think I got spoiled by the slowness. But all that changed today. We had four people out, and I think all our customers were back from their vacations, and it was pretty much call after call. I liked it better the other way!
No more news on any job openings that sound interesting. I'm going to take another exam, though I'm not sure why. It's for Staff Services Analyst, and I don't have a burning desire to be one. In fact, I like my job and my unit. I just figure it's good for me to stretch myself and learn through the tests what people in other types of work have to do and know. And I figure it can't hurt to keep my options open. Who knows? Maybe something will come along that I love even more than my current job, if that's possible.
Well, I think that's about all the news, or lack thereof. I hope the new year is off to a great start for everyone.
